Sports Park
Over US $50,000 has been raised thus far through financial gifts and in-kind donations. This generous support has sponsored the complete renovation of the playing surface and public seating area, a power generator, and men’s and women’s bathrooms. To manage such a large investment, Comunidad Connect has hired a full time program director, a part time coordinator, and a caretaker. Maintaining a safe, secure, and clean environment for everyone to enjoy cannot be done for free. Comunidad Connect needs your help to ensure the Sports Park continues to be high quality community asset. There are several ways you can make a difference:
- Sponsor a team: US $150 covers uniforms and registration fees for a Basketball or Soccer team of your choice. Or let us help you identify a team with the most needs.
- Participate in the Advertising Campaign:
A minimum US $250 donation to the Sports Park Future Fund entitles you to a premium advertisement mural painted by renowned local artist German Sandino for your company (or sponsor an ad for a local business), in addition to recognition at every event held at the Sports Park. Contact us for more details on average attendance and availability!
- Reconstruct the Eastern Wall:
The back wall is falling apart, slowly but surely. If this wall falls in, it could have serious damage to the new bathrooms, not to mention anyone in the vicinity! It needs to be completely rebuilt and reinforced with steel. The estimated cost is US $500.
- Finish the Administrative Office:
US $600 will cover the costs of the office space and will ensure that the program director will maintain a permanent presence at the Sports Park. In addition to the construction material and labor, this cost includes outfitting the office with two work stations, storage shelves, as well as a small storage shed for tools and equipment.
- Become a League Patron:
US $1500 is what it costs to develop and administer each Sports League. This includes administrative overhead (salaries and utilities), maintenance and equipment for an average of 3 months. Leagues are named after their respective sponsors and a commemorative plaque is dedicated at the inaugural ceremony of each league.
