We are off to a strong start this year. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the dedication of local partners, 20 household sanitation units are now underway with families in Los Robles, Nicaragua. Through fundraising efforts last year, Comunidad Connect secured support to build 60 sanitation units in total, with construction beginning this year.
"I am excited to know that we are helping meet a basic and essential need for these families. In this first phase, 13 families currently do not have access to a bathroom, while 7 have facilities in poor condition that need to be replaced. What stands out most is the unity and commitment of the families involved." — Martha Rizo, Nicaragua Project Coordinator
Beyond the construction itself, families are actively participating in the building process, demonstrating ownership, collaboration, and a shared commitment to healthier living conditions. It is a powerful example of how community partnership and local leadership move practical solutions forward.
We look forward to sharing photos and stories from the families behind this work in the coming weeks.
